Building Financial Clarity Through Scenario Modeling

We started Synapse Energize because too many businesses were making critical decisions based on gut feeling rather than structured analysis. That's not how financial planning should work.

What We Actually Do

Here's the thing about financial planning. Most businesses have spreadsheets. Lots of them. But when you ask what happens if sales drop by 15%, or a key supplier raises prices, or that new regulation kicks in next quarter, those spreadsheets don't have answers ready.

That's where scenario modeling comes in. We build financial models that let you test different futures before they happen. Not crystal ball stuff, just structured ways to explore what might unfold.

We're not about making predictions. We're about giving you the tools to understand your options when things change, because they always do.

Our work started in 2019 when a few local businesses asked if we could help them plan for expansion. Traditional forecasting wasn't cutting it. They needed to see multiple paths forward, compare them side by side, understand the trade-offs.

Six years later, that's still what we do. Just with better tools and more experience under our belt.

How We Approach Financial Modeling

Three things matter when you're building scenarios that actually help people make decisions.

Real Variables

We don't model abstract concepts. Every input connects to something you can measure in your business: revenue streams, cost centers, resource allocation, time constraints. If you can't track it, we don't model it.

Multiple Paths

Single forecasts are basically useless. We build three to five scenarios minimum, showing different ways things could unfold. Conservative estimates, aggressive growth, unexpected disruption. You need to see the range of possibilities.

Decision Points

Good models highlight when you need to make choices. Not just what might happen, but when you'll need to decide between option A and option B based on how things develop. That's where the real value sits.

What Makes Our Models Different

Anyone can build a spreadsheet. The trick is building one that actually helps when you're trying to figure out your next move.

Our models aren't just about numbers adding up correctly. They're about showing you what changes when key assumptions shift. Because assumptions always shift.

Flexible Inputs

Change any variable and see how it ripples through your entire financial picture. Real-time updates, no waiting for recalculations.

Sensitivity Analysis

Find out which variables actually matter to your bottom line and which ones are just noise. Not everything deserves equal attention.

Scenario Comparison

Put different futures side by side and see the trade-offs clearly. Makes those difficult strategic choices a bit more straightforward.

Who Does This Work

Small team, focused expertise. We keep things lean so we can work directly with clients rather than passing projects through multiple layers.

Mirela Kovacheva

Lead Financial Strategist

Mirela built her first financial model in 2014 for a manufacturing client trying to decide whether to expand their production line. That model saved them from a costly mistake, and she's been refining the approach ever since.

She handles most of our complex scenario work and trains clients on how to use the models we build. Background in economics and accounting, but more importantly, she's good at explaining complicated financial concepts without the jargon.
